I need to extract text from a PDF, and then replace the text in the PDF with another text. I know that this is not easy but it should be possible if the rendered new text takes about same size as the original.

So my question is, can this be done in QuickPDF?

Yes, as long as you do not replace 1 letter with another letter, but a longer text with an empty string of the same length.
