Hi,

I would like to ask for a push in the right direction with the following:

I need to determine what fonts in an existing PDF document are not embedded neither subset embedded.

I’m looking at the FontType function and am uncertain of the possible return values.

For example, if FontType returns “8” (Type3) – does that mean that a font is embedded or subset embedded or not ?

The above question also applies to return values:

3 TrueType

5 Packaged

6 Type1

8 Type3

9 Type1 CID

10 TrueType CID

11 CJK

I guess (?) that return values:

1 Unknown

2 Standard

4 Embedded TrueType

7 Subsetted

would mean that a font is embedded – and this ensures 100% that the “viewer” will see the font as used by the "PDF generator”.
