Hi,
I've always used virtual printers to make pdf documents; of course I prefer to use a DLL to have more control on the process. The problem is that I obtain pdf docs that are larger than before, and in my job I need little documents (storage space, you know...).
When I started using QuickPdf I didn't embed fonts in the docs, because it's not a problem if you use normal fonts like Arial, Times New Roman and so on. But now I have to use the font "Century Gothic" (normal, italic, bold) and it happened that someone wanted to see a document on his computer and that font was not installed; of course there were odd writings in a strange font and this is not good. When I tried to embed the complete font , the dimension passed from 82Kb to 1542Kb; so I tried to embed the SubsettedFont (passing only the chars that I need to print in the doc) but anyway it's too large, much more than before and much more than using virtual printers (that embed the subset of the font).
Of course I use CompressImages(1) and CompressFonts(1).
Any hint ?
