Hi Everyone,
For the last 4 years,
Ingo and I have hosted http://www.quickpdf.org - www.quickpdf.org for everyone (free of charge), and,
as a community of quickPDF users, we have made some small improvements
to the library following the demise of SedTech, and then iSed. To everyone that have contributed over the years, Ingo and I would like to pass our most sincere thanks.
I would like to announce that a new company: "The Colden Group LLC" has
purchased this website and all associated assets (there were very few).
The company has offered to a few of us the opportunity to join, and
help with the development of a PDF library called PDF Squad. This
library offers exciting new features that include support for Unicode
paths, digital signatures, AES 128bit encryption, and more.
The company has moved a copy of this forum (including user accounts) to a new home last week at http://www.thecoldengroup.com/forum - www.thecoldengroup.com/forum where you can continue to view questions and answers about the QuickPDF library for historical reasons. The main area of the new forum will be, however, dedicated to PDF Squad.
The Colden Group is hoping that development of the new PDF library will
continue to progress to include adding features to support the more
recent PDF specification. To achieve this goal, the company plans to
charge for the library to fund the improvements. For current QuickPDF
users, the Colden Group is offering a reduced upgrade price of $49
($99 for site license owners which will include access to the source code of PDF Squad).
Please join us at http://www.thecoldengroup.com - www.thecoldengroup.com in a couple of weeks for the release of PDF Squad v1.0. We hope to see you there. The good news is that the PDF Squad library is
complete, and we are simply finalizing all of the sample code, header
files and DCUs for the library. The library will be made available as
soon as the final "package" is completed.
In the mean time, you can visit the site. you will find it is mostly all there except that some of the links are dead, you can't download the new library yet, and the purchase page is not working either (as can be expected). All of these are being finalized as well.
The online help file for PDF Squad has been completed, and is available [ http://www.thecoldengroup.com/help/ - here ].
This forum here will remain live for now.
Best regards,
Michel Korwin-Szymanowski Administrator The Colden Group LLC
