I was in hope to use:

https://developers.foxit.com/developer-hub/document/incremental-updates/

My question is how to setup QPDF object to create PDF 1.7  and not PDF 1.4 ?

I see I can use:
SetPDFAMode

...a few minutes later...
found it ...
$DPL.SetInformation(0, '1.7')

  • My primary needs is related to :

  • "Incremental updates are required when modifying a digitally signed PDF. Any changes to the existing bytes in the file will invalidate existing signatures, so re-writing the PDF is not an option."

But also I was exptecting that if I use incremental update it means for me "versioning".
So my further question is how I can use ACROBAT READER to switch to view each subsequent version ?

On second thought, if I have a signed PDF file in version 1.4, I won't be able to do anything with it.
I think so because the signed PDF has to be saved as a PDF in version 1.7 before it's signed.

Please let me know if I'm right.

Wo hast Du diese Information her (mit Version 1.7)?
Auch vor 1.7 sind doch PDFs schon rechtsgültig signiert worden?

Cheers,
Ingo
