No, not native Word or Excel documents.  But if you 'save as PDF' from Office 2010 or 2013, then it can open the PDF.  I have used this method to automate conversion from a DOCX file to a TIF file, using the PDF library to render the intermediate PDF to TIF.

Thanks, I'll check it. I hope I can use COM of Word and Excel to do that from my application.
