Can I expire a pdf after a certain date with encryption method or can we limit the number of print for a pdf file? Suppose only 5 prints are allowed.

You can add a custom field (similar to meta data fields).
There you can modify a value after each printout. Before printout you can check this value. How to set the security settings from inside the pdf i don't know. For this all you need embedded javascript-code. The other thing: The users can stop javascript executed from the pdf-reader as a security option. No good news for you. For my opinion there isn't any save solution for your needs. Cheers, Ingo |

or
Encrypt the pdf file (password for open and password for changes and only your program knows it). You write a program that will be opened, printed, and save / check somewhere (registry?, database?) number of times the file was printed. Regards |
