We'll try to add support for Delphi XE in the 7.22 release which will come out at the end of the month, but if it's not ready for 7.22 then we'll support it in the 7.23 next month.
We'll have beta release in advance of the final release of course. Are you using Delphi XE already? First impressions?
Cheers, - Rowan. |

So far I have just installed it on my laptop and I am working through all the third-party software we use, in the main just adding ifdefs for compiler version 22, library suffix 15 etc. So I have not yet used it in anger, but so far no real problems rebuilding 2010 sources. We are not in a great hurry to switch to XE, but it looks as if the main or only enhancements are in the IDE so we will probably just switch to get those benefits. QuickPDF is the only third-party library we use for which we do not have source, and we don't want to switch over and have both 2010 and XE for different parts of our application suite, so I just wanted to make sure that QuickPDF is not going to hold things up!

We did some testing today and you're right, it doesn't look like there was any major changes, so it was possible to get the D2010 DCUs to compile in Delphi XE with only a few minor changes.
This means that we will definitely support Delphi XE in the 7.22 release at the end of this month. There should be a beta ready sometime in the next 1-2 weeks. There's a source code license available for Quick PDF Library if you're interested. :-) Cheers, - Rowan.

Yes, there is. We've finished making the changes to support Delphi XE and they will be included in the 7.22 beta 2 release this week. So the final version of 7.22 set for release in 2-3 weeks will support Delphi XE, but there will be beta releases before that which you can test.
