I am trying to get clear on requirements for Quick PDF. I plan to use Delphi to develop for Android and iOS. So, in addition to a Windows version of Quick PDF (for development), will I also need to purchase either the source code for Quick PDF or both the Android and iOS Quick PDF libraries? Thanks

Hi Duzzel,
The most important hint regarding your question is: Have an eye on Firemonkey! https://www.embarcadero.com/products/rad-studio/fm-application-platform What Embarcadero is telling via their product pages regarding iOS and Android: https://www.embarcadero.com/de/products/rad-studio/create-android-apps https://www.embarcadero.com/products/rad-studio/ios-development A video from Embarcadero about building apps for both worlds with one code base: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug3-BNNPY_U Some words about the different editions of QuickPDF you'll find here: https://www.debenu.com/products/development/debenu-pdf-library/ Cheers and welcome here, Ingo |

Hi Ingo Thanks. My question was really about my choices with respect to the version(s) of Quick PDF I will need. I've read the Embarcadero and Debenu websites. Quick PDF is sold "per developer, per platform". I figure the dcu's in the Delphi version are good only for their target O/S and will not run on iOS or Android. That means to me I will need delphi source to compile for mobile. The iOS and Android versions of Quick PDF are probably native libraries and may take a little extra work to use from my app. So I think I'll have to choose between compiling delphi source for mobile platforms or accessing native libraries from delphi code. But all this is guesswork. I couldn't find information on the Debenu website that mentioned or explained recommended strategies for multi-platform delphi apps. There may be other things I need to know to make the best choice. Hence my posting. If I want to target Android and iOS using Quick PDF and delphi, is it accurate that I have two choices: source code or pre-compiled libraries? Thanks
