   Appligent makes some excellent, production quality PDF tools.  They offer a freeware tool named APStripFiles, which is used primarily to remove attachments from PDFs.

Dig into the docs, and there's a hidden jewel - the ability to Linearize (Fast Web View) your PDFs - for free!  A feature we'll probably never see added to QuickPDF.

It also has a "garbage collection" feature, similar to Acrobat's "Save As...", which will clean up and reduce the size of a PDF.
