Perhaps the file you wanna save is locked by another process?
Try LastErrorCode to get a more detailed error.

There is not much to the SaveToFile function. A drill down through the code gets us to this API call which tests for save capability:

<result> = CreateFileW(PWideChar(FileName), GENERIC_READ or GENERIC_WRITE,
    0, nil, CREATE_ALWAYS, FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL, 0)

If that returns false, you cannot save a file.
 
In Delphi I could call System.GetLastError - RAD Studio API Documentation and I might learn "why". I do not know if you have that option in C.

My guess is that the OS is saying "No" for some reason. Maybe permissions, bad path, file in use, etc. but I don't think there is anything about QPL that should be the source of the issue.

1. Is there a way to find out why?  It has been working fine for several years, until now.
2. Is there a limit to the length of the path?  The length might be a bit longer than used previously, but well below the Windows path length maximum.

unit DebenuPDFLibraryFontRasterizer has a bug that can cause an infinite loop when rendering some PDFs
I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS THE EXTACT RIGHT THING TO DO!!! However, it fixed a problem I was having with a very small number of documents, and I know it does nothing that would break the vast majority that were already working. 

I have solved it in my library by adding an else/break condition in the function GetW2DictCount:

Hello everyone,

I’m loading a PDF document into a PictureBox for display, but I’m experiencing an issue with color accuracy. The gray tones in the original PDF appear different in the PictureBox – specifically, light gray turns into dark gray.

Functions, that I use:

' Open the file, get a file handle
fileHandle = QP.DAOpenFileReadOnly(File_Name, password)

 ' Render the page to BMP format into the byte array
Dim bitmapData = QP.DARenderPageToString(fileHandle, pageReference, 0, smallestDPI)

' Put the byte array into a stream
Dim stream As New System.IO.MemoryStream(bitmapData)

 ' Create a new Image from the stream
 PctPreview.Image = Image.FromStream(stream)


Does anyone know what might be causing this? How can I ensure that the colors are displayed correctly?

i am using the debenu only for one thing. if i will not get a source code, i will have to switch package.
