Still using 5.11 as it's done everything I required, up till now, so maybe this is no longer true.

I need to repeatedly print a document with a very small change (customer copy, office copy, works copy etc.). So I added a form field and change the value for each successive print, but nothing prints unless I first flatten the field.
 
I'm now adding a layer containing the information before each print and deleting it again after, so no big problem., but is this a bug or intended behaviour?
