Then soon it should be possible to compile a PoDoFo-version like you had done it with iText 1.48 and the JNC?

A quick FYI - the open source PoDoFo PDF lib is starting to get more interesting, with the recent addition of AES encryption, and support starting up for digital signatures. A new release is apparently on the way soon...
