Version 7 means pdf-specs 1.6 ... Reading will work mostly... but special functionality (textextraction for example) can crash.

Best regards,
Ingo

I have thoroughly tested alternatives to build and massage PDF data including activePDF, gnosticePDF and pdflib.

So far quickpdf has been my best bet. Wonderful code and API. Il also a generous license model.

I just have a new problem with it... We offer users of our product the possibily to drive a pdf-generation tool with acroforms used as templates for "on-the-fly" generation.

I understand that quickpdf will read and write older pdf format (acrobat 4 and 5).

How will quickpdf handle (read) recent pdf and specifically acroform fields (those in version 6 or 7)?

Francois
