Thanks, I'd had a look at the ref. guide and it looked *possible*. But as you say, rather tricky. Anyway, I've given it a go & got it working.

I have two pdfs A.pdf and B.pdf, each with 3 pages.
What I'd like to do is create a new file, C.pdf, with page 1 containing side-by-side A.pdf's page 1 and B.pdf's page 1, and so on for pages 2 and 3.

Visually:
A.pdf [A1] [A2] [A3]
B.pdf [B1] [B2] [B3]
C.pdf [A1|B1] [A2|B2] [A3|B3]

Is this possible?
