Hi!

It's a bit confused now ;-)
QuickPDF can't get a barcode from a pdf but it can render the
pdf to an image and for images there are other libraries for
grabbing the barcode from the images.
If you want to create a barcode on a pdf-page your first choice
should be QuickPDF ;)

It is not possible to extract a barcode from a PDF file using QuickPDF library because there are many different ways to draw barcodes - fonts, lines, patterns ....

You need to use an image processing library such as ClearImage from http://www.inliteresearch.com/products/imaging-barcode-recognition-sdk.php - Quick PDF can be used to render the PDF to a graphics image which could then be passed into ClearImage.  There are a few other barcode decoding libraries around that can detect and read barcodes such as BlackIce, Unisoft Imaging ...

Hi Eli!

QP can draw barcodes on the pdf.
If you want it back you'll need the coordinates
to render the relevant part of the page as an image.
If you need the real data you should add the barcode-
data in hidden self made custom field (like meta data).
