    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.quickpdf.org/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1220">gege</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1906<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 25 Aug 11 at 3:24PM<br /><br />Hello Rowan<br>Happy to see that QuickPDF team prepares an PDF Viewer ActiveX Control. <br><br>But could you tell us more about its features, in particular could it read&nbsp; and display <u><b>quickly</b></u> monochrome JBIG2 encodes PDF?&nbsp; <br><br>Nearly all viewers can now read JBig2 encoded images, but only a few display such images quickly. <br><br>My problem is that I have to display hundred files very, very quickly (sometimes, more that 4 pages per second sic!) and most of PDF readers waste time and memory to transform a 1Mbytes (2500x3500 pixel - 1 bit per pixel) image into a 24 or 32 bits per pixel bitmap (more than 24 Mbytes), very slowly rendered onto the screen.<br><br>This is a nonsense and a very poorly designed concept!<br><br>Could you give us some indications about the means you plan to use to display such PDF files?<br><br>Many thanks for your reply.<br><br>Gérard <br>]]>

The features in the first couple of releases will be relatively basic and will focus on basic viewing, navigation, bookmarks, links and so on. Overtime support for more advance features will be added.</div><div><br></div><div>Quick PDF Viewer ActiveX will be a separate product to Quick PDF Library and so it won't be free for existing customers of our library.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>- Rowan.</div>]]>

Currently, our viewer uses RenderPageToDC(in c++) and can change pages, scroll and zoom.
