I understand it's a loop and that's the way I'm using it now.  As a matter of fact you can programatically do all three suggestions through coding.  For example loop through all fields and if they have no value then flatten... etc. Just suggesting a single function call instead of programming loops.
 
For item 2... there are instances where a single form is filled out over a period of time.  As the user fills the form and saves it those fields are flattened.  When reloaded, the previous fields completed are no longer form fields but the ones left to be completed are still available as form fields.
 
For item 3... When certain fields are completed on a form and transmitted to another for editing etc. you want that other party to be able to edit entries but not fields with no content. 
 
There are several applications for 2 and 3 in the real world... especially legal and government forms.

Hi!

At least FlattenAllFormFields isn't really necessary.
It's only a loop: FormFieldCount and then Flatten...
Your suggestions 2/3 don't make sense for me.
After Flatten a form isn't a form any longer.

It would be tremendously helpful to have a couple more options/functions for flattening form fields.  Seldom does one need to flatten a single field.  Ranked in order of importance, IMO, the functions would be:
 
1.  FlattenAllFormFields
2.  FlattenAllFilledFormFields
3.  Flatten AllUnFilledFormFields
 
Would be very, very helpful!
